City Council members: the Saudi woman has  obtained a significant  achievement by ascend ing municipal seats
     A number  of municipal councils members in eastern region stressed that Saudi woman  is in the right way towards the consolidation of  her rightful position in society, pointing the new crucial  phase  the woman  is stepping  in the Kingdom under the  care of  a rational government that  recognizes that women are able to participate and contribute with their brothers in the elevation and  improvement of the country.
  The members pointed during the meeting which was attended by the member of the Board of Directors of the Chamber Manahel Abdullah Al-Hamdan, and held the evening of Tuesday, February 16th, in the Head office of East chamber, to their experience in the municipal councils, in terms of their transition to the making and decision-making positions, and  the close dealing with the issues that affect the citizen directly.
The meeting also addressed the discussion about the municipal councils, and its role in the adoption of plans and programs responsible of making areas more civilized, as well as the mechanisms and procedures of the implementation of projects in the budget, as well as their role in the work system in the municipal councils as a whole as a modern experience.
 they talked about the richness of the experience for them, and how it gave them multiple experiences, despite the duration, which does not yet go beyond a few months, stressing that the municipal work of business that require special specifications, with what it includes of challenges and requirements may not be available at other  fields Saudi woman has reached , especially because the work depends on the direct   evaluation of male and female citizens.
the participant members have praised the role of Eastern Region Businesswomen Center, the elevation of women's issues, whether  a business leader  or a labor, and  its eagerness to offer experiences to take advantage of her and her study, both in the economic investment field, or in the public field.
 talked in the meeting, Dunia Hassan Al Jabr, Dr. Sumaya Suleiman Al Suleiman, as representatives of the Municipal Council of East Secretariat and Khathra Ahmed Al Mubarak and Mrs. Arafat Hassan Al Majid, on behalf of the municipal council of the province of Qatif, amid the presence of a large number of women and women entrepreneurs and women who are interested in women's issues and specialists in Public affairs .At the end of the meeting, the guests have been honored.
